TUCSON, Ariz. — Arizona Arts Live, at the University of Arizona, presents Blind Summit Theatre’s internationally acclaimed production, The Sex Lives of Puppets. Live in Marroney Theatre from February 25–28, 2026, experience a funny, bold, and slightly outrageous evening far more heartfelt than you’d expect.
Blending masterful puppetry with candid reflections on intimacy, vulnerability, and connection, The Sex Lives of Puppets draws from real-world conversations about relationships and desire by the U.K. National Survey of Sexual Attitudes and Lifestyles. What begins with a provocative premise unfolds as a layered and often unexpectedly tender exploration of modern human experience. You’ve never seen puppets like this.
Four fearless puppeteers, in full view of the audience, animate a diverse cast of characters while blurring the line between performer and puppet. The result is technically precise and emotionally immediate, receiving praise from critics for balancing irreverent humor with compassion and insight. Audiences arrive curious and leave moved.
Following celebrated engagements in London, Chicago, and around the world, The Sex Lives of Puppets arrives in Southern Arizona as part of Arizona Arts Live’s ongoing commitment to presenting bold, globally recognized performances that spark conversation and invite new perspectives.
