Break through boundaries and journey beyond the limits of contemporary dance with Canada’s internationally-renowned Ballet BC.
“Visually stunning and emotionally profound.”

Praised around the world for pushing the limits of contemporary dance, Ballet BC creates art in motion that is visceral, powerful, and deeply human.
Under the direction of Medhi Walerski, this Vancouver-based company transforms the stage into a canvas of emotion and precision. Each performance is a study in flow and form, where movement becomes language and every gesture carries meaning.
Making its Arizona premiere, Ballet BC brings an evening of extraordinary contemporary ballet to Tucson. The program features three striking works, including the hypnotic BOLERO X, a reimagining of Ravel’s legendary Boléro. With twenty dancers moving as one to one of the most recognizable scores in classical music, Ballet BC celebrates rhythm, repetition, and the sheer power of the human body in motion.
Experience dance stripped to its essence, bold, expressive, and alive, when Ballet BC takes the stage at Centennial Hall.
BOLERO X, set to French composer Maurice Ravel’s 1928 masterpiece, Bolero, features a 20-member ensemble in breathtaking synchronization as they mimic the score, gradually building towards a hypnotizing crescendo.
SWAY is an intimate exploration of hope inspired by Emily Dickinson’s Hope is the thing with Feathers—seven graceful dancers in fluid, harmonic transitions between duets and the group.
“New Creation” by Sofi Nappi, featuring a world premiere performance. Additional information coming soon!
